Printed Perovskite Nanocrystals for displays: from LCD-, OLED- to micro-LED displays
In the last years the Perovskite nanocrystals (PNC) have gathered enormous attention from worldwide scientific community, due to their outstanding optical properties. High photoluminescence quantum yields in combination with narrow emission widths and high absorption coefficients are unbeatable by any quantum dot technologies.
Avantama AG pioneered work on commercialization of PNCs into the display industry. This presentation will show advantages as well as challenges of using PNCs in broad variety of display technologies ranging from LCD, OLED to micro-LED.
Project Manager at Avantama AG, leading a team of gifted chemists and material scientists conducting research allowing the commercialization of perovskite nanocrystals into the display industry.
Obtained his PhD title after postgraduate studies at Jagiellonian University (Cracow, Poland) and University of Bologna (Italy) where he worked on quantum dots and their application as logic gates. Postdoctoral experience gathered at ETH Zürich and EMPA Dübendorf (Switzerland) with work on novel Li-ion battery cathodes.
