Large area perovskite single junctions and perovskite/Si tandem solar cells via low temperature blade coating

Abstract :

Perovskite solar cells are approaching a high efficiency over 24% and close to 30% in perovskite single junction and perovskite/Si tandem solar cells, respectively. However, most of remarkable progress has been achieved in laboratory sized devices (~1cm2). In this talk, we present a scalable coating process for hole transporting materials and perovskite layer via low temperature blade coating. Perovskite/Si tandems produced with this route featured an active area of 100 cm2 and reached an efficiency of 22%, a first step towards the demonstration of full-area devices of industrial dimensions.
